What’s Volksvertreter about?

You were only looking for a job. But through a string of unfortunate coincidences, you suddenly find yourself leading a rising new party. Thrown into all that responsibility with zero experience, you now have to form coalitions, negotiate coalition agreements and ministries, pass laws, and make snap decisions whenever something unexpected happens.

How hard can governing be?

You’d think so. But you’ll soon notice that good decisions and popularity are two completely different things. You’ll have to make impossible calls, like the stranding of Hope the whale. Rescue it, leave it lying there, or blow it up with several tonnes of explosives? And then there’s the trivial stuff too, like pension and social policy. All the while, the tabloid “BLÖD” comments on your every move and does its best to make your life hell.

At least there’s a work-life balance, right?

On top of the politics, you also have to navigate the family jungle. Because your family noticed right away that you’re the one holding the levers of power now, and suddenly they’re demanding policies they could profit from.
